Who likes Zombie games? We do! Who grew up playing Resident Evil? Everyone did! So, there were no surprises when Capcom revealed a brand new trailer for a ‘Resident Evil 2’ remake to humongous cheers from the Sony E3 Conference crowd. Yes, Capcom are remaking ‘Resident Evil 2′, and the trailer looks gripping to say the least, with a release date of January 25th, 2019 already in place, so go ahead and put that in your calendar!
The E3 conferences are well under way, and the Resident Evil 2 remake sees us return to Raccoon City, with enough gore, suspense and frights to leave you on the edge of your seat, as you delve deeper into the zombie infested survival horror game, that has been called the best in the Resident Evil franchise. But, what is a remake rather than a remastered game? Well, this means that ‘Resident Evil 2’ will still be an entirely new creation of the plot of the same game, with many differences from your average remastered game, recreating the game on the pre-existing plot, with entirely new graphics, new controls and action situations. Let’s watch the reveal trailer!
If that doesn’t scare your socks off, then nothing will! The setting of Raccoon City is more action packed than the first game, which took place in the mansion, with many fans heralding ‘Resident Evil 2‘ as the best survival horror game of all time, so everyone’s in for a treat with this remake of the game.
The fans of the original can come to find some changes in the game, with a new over the shoulder camera available when shooting, as well as the new look locations from the old game, with the inner playable stories of Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy all encompassed into the game.
Not much more is known about the game at this very early stage, so there’s plenty more to come on the zombie horizon with ‘Resident Evil 2‘ once again, being the franchise that’s leading the way in the horror game market, with an even stronger plot line. ‘Resident Evil 2‘ was originally entitled ‘Biohazard 2’ in Japan, and focuses on the story of escaping from Raccoon City after a biological weapon outbreak, two months after the events of the original ‘Resident Evil’ game, in the story timeline. Watch these new ‘Resident Evil 2‘ scenes below!
The remake of the ‘Resident Evil 2‘ game was first announced three years ago in 2015, but then it was largely quiet for a long while, until yesterday, when fans could finally see the advancements in the graphics and colour schemes with entirely new 3D rendered cut scenes.
What fans will want to see next is live action gameplay, and with everything looking to be on schedule for the January 25th release date. Surely we won’t have to wait long before we see the first sneak peak of all the gameplay action that’s soon on the way.
‘Resident Evil 2’ will be available to buy on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with graphics in 4k for your visceral zombie experience, so there’s always that to look forward to.
