Thai Cave Survivors Appear On Ellen DeGeneres’ Show With Zlatan Ibrahimovic

In case you missed it, here comes one of the most heart warming television appearances in recent times. The thirteen Thai soccer team boys that got trapped in the Tham Luang caves after a Saturday practice, whom spent 17 days in total darkness until being rescued in an eight-hour ordeal per child, recently appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and told their story of how they braced through the worst until all being brought out alive and well.

At the end of June, the boys entered into the caves with their soccer coach, as curious kids do, spending around an hour inside the cave. However, when they tried to leave, the rising water had blocked their exit, leaving them stuck and stranded inside in what would quickly become a worldwide event, and everyone hoping for their safe rescue.

The Thai soccer team had recently been on a tour in California, and were horned to take part in a boys soccer tournament, so it seemed only right that they could come onto the biggest talk show on Earth to describe their story. Say what you want about Ellen, but she really does great things, and if this doesn’t bring joy to your heart, then quite clearly, you might be heartless. At the end of their appearance, Ellen DeGeneres brought out football legend and super striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic of LA Galaxy, much to the surprise and excitements of the young players. Let’s take a look, shall we?

The moments of Ellen gifting the boys customised football shirts with her face and two hearts as eyes, plus the appearance of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end, nearly brings tears to the eyes as you see how much it means to the children to meet their footballing idol.

It’s moments like these which proves the influence of football worldwide and the happiness it brings to the youth, and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic calling the team “probably the best team in the world” before exchanging gifts, is what makes life truly worth living.

The boys soccer team then got VIP tickets to watch the LA Galaxy play in the MLS, and surely, this is a trip for the boys that they will never, ever forget. Absolute beautiful scenes!
